Tuned in to Green

"My mornings on the train always start the same way: headphones in, podcast on. The topics I listen to vary, but one theme pops up again and again - sustainability. Lately, there are two podcasts I keep coming back to:

Groen Goudan inspiring podcast featuring stories of entrepreneurs who turn their ideas into real change. Take De Koffiejongens, for example. Their story proves that great coffee and sustainability can go hand-in-hand, thanks to their compostable capsules.

BNR Duurzaam An insightful podcast that breaks down the latest developments in climate and sustainability. From a surprising discovery of white hydrogen as a clean energy source, to the alarming decline of coral reefs, to the real-world hurdles of making heat networks work. The podcast gives you a solid picture of what’s working, what’s not, and where the real breakthroughs need to happen.

For me, it’s a simple, accessible way to pause for a moment each day and tune into what’s really going on in the world of sustainability. Plus, it makes the train ride fly by without me even noticing." - Fleur van der Plas, Communicatie & Event intern

UN Global Compact's pick of the month

We’re excited to launch our new feature, Pick of the Month, where a different colleague from our team shares their favorite recommendation each month. From books and podcasts to documentaries and theater performances—anything goes! The common thread? Each pick is linked to sustainability, but in the broadest sense of the word. Whether it’s about environmental issues, social impact, or innovative ways to create a better future, these tips are meant to inspire, provoke thought, and spark meaningful conversations. Stay tuned for fresh ideas and inspiration every month!
