Rotterdam, January 15, 2026 - UN Global Compact Network Netherlands and Future Up team up to increase collective action in responsible business in the Netherlands.

With new regulations emerging and societal expectations rising, taking long-term action in societal responsibility and resilience has become a core part of doing business. Network organisations support companies in this transition by strengthening their learning, connections and visibility, including their value chains.

To accelerate the progress of network business participants, UN Global Compact NL and Future Up have now joined forces. Thanks to this partnership, companies in one network will get access to key learning and connection opportunities offered by the other network.

Where UN Global Compact Network Netherlands supports corporates and SMEs in integrating its focus areas (Climate & Nature, Decent Work & Living Wage, Gender Equality, and Sustainable Finance) into their strategies and operation, Future Up advances a sustainable economy with a strong emphasis on biodiversity and the circular economy.

"This collaboration allows us to offer our partners even more relevant opportunities. At the same time, we're proud to make Future Up’s tools, events and sector knowledge available to the partners of UN Global Compact Netherlands. A clear win-win for everyone working towards a future-proof economy."
Ankie van Wersch - CEO Future Up

I am looking forward to increasing collective action and synergising efforts in order to accelerate and scale the positive impact of business in the Netherlands in these challenging times. We are ready to take on the challenge together.
